Chris is the general partner of CJM Ventures, a private equity firm focused on buyouts and growth equity investments in companies located near Chicago. Chris also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Senior Advisor to Booth’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. At Booth, Chris teaches the Sterling Partners Investment Thesis Challenge and Oxford-Chicago Global Private Equity Challenge, and co-teaches the Private Equity and Venture Capital Lab. Chris retired in 2011 after a 12-year career at Madison Dearborn Partners, where he served as a managing director and co-headed their basic industries practice.
He is a Board Member and Portfolio Advisory Board Member at Hyde Park Angels.
