During his career at McMillanDoolittle, Neil specialized in strategic planning and the development of new retail concepts. He also developed strategies and concepts for a diverse variety of clients across the retail industry. Key clients have included an impressive mix of retailers, including Sears, Target, Wawa, Kroger, Harris Teeter, Toys R Us, CVS, Mall of America, Hallmark, McDonald’s, Lenox, Land’s End, Publix, ChevronTexaco, Procter & Gamble, and WinnDixie. He’s editor of McMillanDoolittle’s retail blog, and has co-authored two books, Winning at Retail and Greentailing and Other Revolutions in Retail. He has given dozens of presentations at conferences, internal company meetings and key industry trade groups on food and retail trends domestically and abroad. He currently serves as Chairman of Ebeltoft Group, an independent consortium of the world’s leading retail consultancies. He was named to Crain’s Chicago Business 40 under 40 list of prominent Chicago business leaders and was also named as one of the 40 Rising Stars in Retailing by Chain Store Age. He is an honors graduate of Columbia University and has attended Northwestern’s Kellogg MBA program.
