Havoc Shield Raises $1.45M in Series Seed

November 17, 2020 By Cate LeSourd

Havoc Shield is a technology company whose all-in-one cybersecurity platform is built specifically for startups and small businesses who need to secure their remote workforce, address cyber attacks and win large customers. The company announced that it raised $1.45 million in Series Seed funding.

Hyde Park Angels led the round, with participation from Techstars, Active Capital, Lofty Ventures and individual angel investors. The company will use this round of funding to grow their team, both in Chicago and remotely, and expand its reach to help more small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) conduct business safely.

Havoc Shield reduces the burden on SMBs by giving them access to advanced security technology that provides protection against data breaches, phishing, dark web activity and other threats. The Havoc Shield platform offers comprehensive security and compliance features that meet the standards of Fortune 100 companies, making it easier for businesses working to win deals with those companies.

The HPA Deal Lead is John Higginson, the current CTO of Groupon. As a serial CTO, he has also served in the role for Enova, a publicly traded FinTech company, and FTD, a premier floral and gifting company. With a deep understanding of the cybersecurity challenges that both small and large businesses face, John will be joining the company as an advisor after the round.
